Vegan Frozen Pizza - Pesto Un-Chicken

Where can you go when you want vegan pizza in a hurry? There are not many options in Malaysia, especially if you want vegan cheese on it! But worry no more with our homemade vegan frozen pizzas! Have a couple of these stashed in your freezer for a quick dinner, late night snack, after school munchies, etc.
Each pizza is 9” (23cm). The crust is made with organic wheat flour (you can choose either unbleached white or whole wheat). Or you can choose our gluten free crust!
This pesto veggie un-chicken has a base of fresh made vegan basil pesto. It is topped with our classic vegan mozzarella and shredded un-chicken (made of seitan and chickpeas). I love pesto, and years ago pesto chicken was one of my favorite kinds of pizza from a deli style restaurant in my hometown. This is my re-creation of that. Goes really well with a side salad or bowl of vegetable soup!
If you choose the gluten free crust for this pizza, you will get tofu un-chicken pieces (marinated tofu) instead of the seitan (wheat) based un-chicken.
Bake at 230C for 15-18 minutes until the crust is lightly browned and cheese is melted. If the cheese is not melted to your liking, just leave it for another 2-3 minutes, as it does most of it’s melting in the last few minutes. The high temperature is essential for a good melt.
Feel free to top your pizza with any toppings of your choice before baking! Black olives are one of my favorite additions!

Crust: organic wheat flour (either unbleached white or whole wheat), filtered water, yeast, gula melaka, salt
Mozzarella: organic soymilk, refined coconut oil, tapioca starch, kappa carrageenan, nutritional yeast, salt, vegan lactic acid
Basil Pesto: fresh basil, toasted walnuts, extra virgin olive oil, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, salt, garlic
Shredded Un-Chicken - wheat gluten, filtered water, chickpeas, nutritional yeast, onion powder, garlic powder, spices, salt
Gluten Free Crust*: organic brown rice flour, tapioca starch, white rice flour, potato starch, organic flaxseed, psyllium husk, yeast, Gula Melaka, oil (olive or sunflower), baking powder, salt
**If you need a gluten free crust, choose that option from the drop down menu before adding to your cart. Please note that we make all of our products in the same kitchen, though we take special care to wash bowls, etc. thoroughly before mixing our gluten free options.
