Vegan Belgian Chocolate Chips
These vegan Belgian chocolate chips are delicious! Smooth and creamy, they are great for baking, melting, or just snacking! They are 54.5% cocoa. There are some local chocolates that are made that happen to be vegan, and they are good, but I find the flavor of these Belgian ones to be much better! Hence these are the ones we use in our brownie mix, on our date fudge brownies, and wherever else we use chocolate.
These are great in cookies, cookie dough balls, brownies, vegan cookie dough dip (I like to make it from chickpeas!), on ice cream (whole or melted), and for decorating cakes, cookies, etc.
They have a minimum cocoa content of 54.5%. The original package gives the typical warning about “may contain traces of nuts or dairy”. This does NOT mean they contain dairy, it means they are produced in a place that also makes products that contain dairy and nuts. So if a person has a severe allergy to either it’s best to steer clear. But the chips themselves are dairy free and vegan.
Here are the ingredients from the original packaging: Cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, emulsifier: soya lecithin, natural vanilla flavor
You will get 250g of vegan Belgian chocolate chips in a reusable plastic container. I tried seeing if I could package them in little paper bags (better for the environment), but the bag ripped too easily. Please reuse the container and recycle when it can no longer be used.
