Vegan Cheese Sauce Powder
Make a super quick meal with this vegan cheese sauce powder! Just add 1/4 cup (4 measuring tablespoons) of powder to 1 cup of nondairy milk. Add 1-2 tablespoons of vegan butter or oil if desired for richer and more authentic cheesy sauce. Cook over medium heat for a few minutes until hot and bubbly. That’s it!
Make some mac ‘n cheese! – cook 250g pasta. Add cheese sauce and optionally some peas, broccoli, vegan sausages, etc. Add a splash of nondairy milk if needed. Add salt and pepper if desired.
You can also add the cheese sauce powder and nondairy milk directly to the cooked pasta, and stir while cooking, until thickened. Add a bit of oil or water if the sauce is too thick.
This sauce is also great on veggie burgers, roasted veggies, steamed broccoli, mixed into rice/chickpeas/veggie for a casserole, and more!
One jar has approximately 2 cups of powder, enough to make 8 cups of sauce
nutritional yeast, tapioca starch, onion powder, tomato powder, himalayan salt, lactic acid, paprika, herbs and spices
